Keith Parker has been the Pulpit Minister since 1992. The church has nearly doubled in size since the beginning of his ministry here. He was born in 1956 and began preaching at age 15. He is married to Sandra, his high school sweetheart and they have 3 children, Pete, Ashley and Jessica. He has his degree in Bible from Freed-Hardeman University and masters degree from David Lipscomb University. As a speaker, Keith is in demand across the country in several meetings and seminars.

Roger HatleyRoger C. Hatley

Roger Hatley presently serves as our full time Business Administrator and Minister of Adult Education since October, 2002. He began part time with the Hendersonville church staff in 1996 while working full time as a 401k financial administrator with MetLife in Franklin. Roger came from a preacher's family whose retired Father, Landon A.Hatley, preached for over 50 years, and his late brother Dwight E. Hatley also was a minister. He is a Graduate of David Lipscomb University in 1975 & Sunset School of Biblical Studies in 1979. Roger started preaching in 1969 and has served churches in Tennessee, Texas and Oklahoma. He was married in 1975 to the former Cecilia Lee Smith of Clarksville, and has 3 children, Kayla, Ryan and Kimberly.

 


 

Rodney CloudDr. Rodney Cloud

Dr. Rodney Cloud was born in the mid 1930's in Alabama. He received a BA from Lipscomb, an MA from Harding Graduate School and from Peabody College of Vanderbilt University and a Ph.D. from Hebrew Union College. Doctor Cloud is married to Juanita and has a son name David. For 40 years, he has been teaching Bible and Biblical languages. HOT ROD, as his friends call him, travels around the country lecturing on Bible Translations.

 


 

Brian SheppardBrian Sheppard

Brian Sheppard came to Hendersonville in 2004. He is originally from Parkersburg, West Virginia. He has been married to Amy for over 25 years and they have two children Matthew and Jill. Brian is licensed as a professional counselor. He received a masters degree from the University of Memphis. Served as adjunct faculty at Ohio Valley College and taught West Virginia court ordered parenting classes. Brian has been helping families for over 20 years in North Carolina, West Virginia, Ohio, and Tennessee.

David Swanger came to Hendersonville in September 2006 and serves as Involvement and Outreach Minister. Originally from Dunlap, Tennessee, he has been- married to Linda since 1979 and they have two children, Joshua and Britney. David earned his BS in Bible from Freed-Hardeman University in 1979 and his Masters in Psychology/Counseling from Trevecca Nazarene University in 1992. Having served churches in Nashville, Spring Hill and Pulaski, Tennessee, David's goal is to see each member involved in ministry, touching their community in practical ways with the love of Christ, opening doors to share the love of Christ.

Jeremy JohnsonJeremy Johnson

Jeremy Johnson became a part of the Hendersonville staff in May, 2006. Jeremy currently serves as the youth minister of the Pier 511 Youth Ministry. Jeremy has been married to Kelli Shannon Johnson since 2001, and they have a daughter, Bethany. Jeremy has BS in Bible, a BBA in Human Resource Management, and a Youth Ministry minor from Freed-Hardeman University. He has also a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Harding University, and is a licensed marriage and family therapist in the state of Tennessee. Jeremy has worked with teenagers and families in church and counseling settings for over 12 years.

Michael JordanMichael Jordan

Michael Jordan grew up in Parsons, Tennessee, one of three siblings. His father owned a dry cleaners and his mother taught school. He attended Freed-Hardeman College and then continued on to graduate from David Lipscomb. He received his MEd degree from Middle Tennessee State University. He has 30+ hours beyond his masters degree. Michael began his teaching career on the Navajo Indian Reservation. Upon returning to Nashville he taught 3 years before becoming principal of Dan Mills Elementary and Neely’s Bend Elementary. He was Director of Elementary Schools for 10 years for Metro Nashville Schools. Michael retired from Metro to become the Middle School Principal for David Lipscomb Campus Schools. He was a member of Madison Church of Christ for 36 years, where he was a deacon, supervisor, and educational director. He attended Goodlettsville Church of Christ where he was a deacon and educational director for 5 ½ years prior to coming to Hendersonville Church of Christ on July 1, 2007. Michael presently serves on the Board of Directors for Goodpasture Christian School.

Michael is married to the former Mabel LaFevor they have two children, Meredith Hayes (Mark), and Matthew. Mabel is a retired nurse. Their two granddaughters, Jordan and Caitlin, are the apples of their eyes.

Meredith HayesMeredith Hayes

Meredith (Jordan) Hayes grew up in Madison, Tennessee. She received her B.S. degree in Elementary Education from David Lipscomb University. She taught 5 th Grade at Eakin Elementary and 1 st Grade at Neely’s Bend Elementary. She has had many experiences working with children such as working in a daycare, a summer school program, tutoring at Sylvan Learning Center, teaching Inner City Bible classes, Bible school teacher, substitute teaching, and keeping children in her home. She also worked for the Tennessee Association of Elementary and Middle School Principals as their membership processor.

She attended the Madison Church of Christ for 29 years. The past 5 years she attended Goodlettsville Church of Christ where she created and supervised the Puppet Ministry, taught Bible classes, co-directed the Middle School Church Camp, organized and planned Children’s Bible Hour and other children’s activities, and was a committee member of the Women’s Ministry. She is presently the co-director of Children’s Ministry at Hendersonville Church of Christ.

She is married to Mark Hayes, who is the Dean of Students at Maplewood High School. Meredith has been a stay at home mom to their two daughters, Jordan (7) and Caitlin (3) for the last seven years.
