Missions
God has provided the Hendersonville Church of Christ extraordinary opportunities and resources to serve Him by serving His people in many unique places and circumstances. He is using us to provide teaching, support and relief to His children half a world away, as well as, on our very doorstep.
We fully support four congregations outside the United States and partially support one congregation within the United States. We provide partial support for three preachers on foreign soil. Medical relief is provided through direct efforts, partial support of a medical clinic and support for a major brotherhood relief agency.
A college scholarship is provided to train a Bible major preparing to be a missionary. A fellowship program provides financial assistance to our members wishing to participate actively in mission projects. We provide support for the congregation's college-age students on mission campaigns, contribute to a church growth center at a Christian college, provide teaching materials, study material, tapes and other resources to our people in the field. This is a short list of the opportunities God is providing. He has also provided the resources to support these opportunities. This is a busy, exciting time for those privileged to serve God through these programs. Knowing that you are a tool in God's hand to have a positive impact on a brother or sister in Christ is thrilling!
There can be no better reward than knowing that as you lay your head on your pillow a member of your Christian family is praying for you, in a language you may not be able to understand, as the morning sun warms his face! Truly, the sun never sets on God's children!
Missions Leadership
Management of missions support and direct work with missionaries is done by the Missions Committee. The Missions Committee receives requests for support, interviews missionaries, makes decisions regarding support, advises and encourages supported missionaries, and even visits the field to uplift and mentor missionaries.

Since our beginning in 1893 the Hendersonville Church of Christ has committed to believe and worship God and the Christ as our Lord and Master. Obedience to God's will is the cornerstone of our effort. Serving others as we seek to save a lost world is the underlying mission of this congregation of the Lord's Church.
