The Hendersonville Church of Christ

We're Christians. Nothing more and nothing less. We're trying to be like Jesus. We belong to Christ and we want to wear his name. The disciples were called Christians in the first century (Acts 11:26)

If you build a house, you need plans to go by. If you want to go to Heaven, you must have some plans to go by. The Bible is that guide. If the Bible says it, we want to do it. If the Bible doesn't say it, we want to leave it alone. The Bible is God's inspired Word We believe that if we just follow the Bible, we'll end up doing all that God wants us to do.

Our purpose. It's very simple. Our purpose is to glorify God. Whatever we do or say, we want to bring glory and honor to God (1 Corinthians 10:31). We believe that one of the primary ways to accomplish that is to tell others about His Son, Jesus. We have been given the task of preaching and teaching the Gospel (Mark 16:15). The Gospel is good news! And the good news is that Jesus loved us when we were sinners, he died for us, and he was raised by the power of God (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Because of the goodness of God, we can be saved!
